other views:

Same look and feel of the Flea ukuleles, but set up as a four string mandolin. 14" scale; GDAE tuning; D'Addario phosphor bronze steel strings; solid Adirondack spruce arched top with floating rosewood bridge; 1 3/16" nut width; 19 fret hardwood fretboard; Peghed tuners; side sound-port. Big, bright, traditional mandolin sound, with four strings for simpler tuning and ease of play. Great for travel, casual players, or anyone looking for a lighter, simpler mandolin. Weighs 1 pound or about half most traditional mandolins. See gig-bag, case, and pickup options below. Comes with natural amber top or inquire about color and engraving options available.

5 of 5 Mandolin Flea is awesome! August 25, 2020
Reviewer: Ben from Sheffield, MA / Mountains of Wyoming
In July, I purchased a Mandolin Flea from the Magic Fluke after much searching for a lightweight mandolin to take on a 25 day wilderness expedition in the mountains of Wyoming.  The folks at Magic Fluke were very helpful and got the Mandolin Flea to me last minute (and on a weekend) right before I left for my trip.

I have played the mandolin almost every day since and love it.  It has great action, great intonation,  is easy to play, is easy to tune, the neck feels good in my hands, and it stood up well to drastic temperature changes.  It is also lightweight enough to travel on the outside of a backpack.  Now that I'm out of the mountains I find I reach for the flea rather than my traditional F-style mandolin.

This mandolin will travel with me wherever I go!  It is very well made and the folks at Magic Fluke are great.  I am a very happy customer!
