5 of 5 So beautiful! February 11, 2022
Reviewer: Lauren S from Nashville, TN, USA
I received my fretless Timber Bass with the Galli flat-wound strings a few months ago, and it's just beautiful, and clearly made with great care and attention to detail. I especially love the shape and feel of the neck. I have never played any type of bass before, so I don't have anything to compare it to; but I find it very comfortable to play, and I like how it sounds. The only thing I don't like is the strap (it's a good width, but I don't like the way the material feels); my one suggestion for future models would be to make the strap easier to change. I am looking forward to continuing to learn on this lovely high-quality instrument!

5 of 5 Timber Bass Fretless December 20, 2018
Reviewer: Noel Baumber from North Yorkshire, UK
As our ukelele group grew over the last 6 years to around 40 members I began to add depth to the sound with an upright acoustic bass but soon moved on to the Magic Fluke through a Fender Rumble 100. This copes brilliantly from solos to a chorus of voices and ukes in full concert, and a hundred years of music right up to Paloma Faith! The La Bella strings make the bass a joy to play - with or without a pick. It sounds better than my electric basses while the short scale and low action make it a fast and effortless neck. Being fretless, it also allows me to adjust pitch and intonation as heat or cold begin to affect everyone's tuning. I love the instrument and it attracts a lot of interest in concerts for its versatility, earning the club new gigs and income for our local air ambulance charity; $12,000 since we started! Thank you, Magic Fluke, La Bella and Fender for making it possible!

5 of 5 Perfection January 3, 2018
Reviewer: Steve McConnell from CT
This little bass is huge in sound and fun.  I've played traditional basses - but in this scale, it just fits so perfectly and makes playing a seamless, effortless, inspiring activity.  Played through any bass amp - from my tiny Fender Rumble 15W amp we use when camping, to the house-shaking Bose T1 system we use for this, keys, vocals, and my wife's newly upgraded Flea and Firefly ukes.   It just couldn't be more fun and fantastic sounding.   Magic Fluke does magical things - love all their instruments - and they are a joy to work with.   Top it off with a commitment to a truly made in America experience - it's the complete package.  Does Lee Sklar know about this????   Thanks Magic Fluke team!  Love all the ukes we've purchased from you!

5 of 5 i love my bass BUT i have one complaint... November 10, 2017
Reviewer: r.e.
I LOVE THIS BASS! really changed the word "play" for me. it's so fun! i’m small so standard bass guitars are huge for me. this guitar is perfect!

only complaint is there are 2 coin batteries used for the tuner. while that’s useful, pickups are routed through the batteries as well. meaning, if they die you can't use the bass at all. real bummer! if you ever leave your amp on - those pickups are active & your batteries are draining. inexpensive but i'm not trying to make that much trash in the world. been through 4 in a couple days.

want rechargeable batts but all the chargers out there are poorly made. i have a mechanical engineering friend hacking a small usb charger so that i can solve the this problem on my own. not every consumer is going to be as conscientious about the trash they make - and i think it’s a company/designer’s responsibility to build that thoughtfulness in there.

magic fluke was great to interact with though! i hope they hear this message. thanks!

5 of 5 Simple and oh so sweet ! November 11, 2015
Reviewer: Paul from UK
I have been playing a Bass Ukulele for a couple of years now (you know the sort of thing, rubber strings !) and absolutely love the sound, but I've always wanted something just a little more fucused that can cut through a group of 30+ Ukuleleists.  Enter the the new Fluke bass, it hasn't replaced my other instrument, but for the more contemporary pop and rock numbers we do the Fluke sounds sublime and has become my weapon of choice.  It has a very tight and focused sound without loosing any of that beautiful deep sound associated with Bass Uke's.  It also works a treat through a couple of my bass effects pedals especially my compressor, distortion and reverb !  Five stars, absolutely fantastic.
